Eryna Kisumba is a British-Ugandan cellist with a deep passion for orchestral and chamber music, as well as community music and education. She graduated with a Masters in Performance from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama where she studied on the Orchestral Artistry course with teacher Rebecca Gilliver. She previously graduated from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire with First Class Honours in Performance, having studied under Ben Davies and taken part in masterclasses with esteemed cellists such as Hannah Roberts, Jian Wang, and Julian Lloyd Webber.

As an orchestral musician, Eryna has experience with the London Symphony Orchestra, Royal Opera House Orchestra and Dorset Festival Opera Orchestra on various apprenticeship opportunities. She sat principal cellist of the City of Birmingham Symphony Youth Orchestra, working with conductors including Mirga Gražinytė-Tyla, Ilan Volkov, and Kazuki Yamada. She has performed in venues such as the Royal Albert Hall, Barbican Hall, Birmingham Symphony Hall, and Milton Court Concert Hall.

Beyond performance, Eryna is committed to making classical music more accessible through community music and education. She currently works with organisations such as the London Symphony Orchestra, Wigmore Hall, and the Royal Academy of Music, offering creative music making for early years, schools, hospitals and various community settings.
