Known for her expressive playing and joy in performing, Canadian violinist Elise Wiesinger is

passionate about the power of live music and community engagement through music to open

hearts and foster empathy in an often busy and overwhelming world. She holds a Bachelor of

Music degree in Violin Performance from the University of Toronto, where she was awarded the

University of Toronto Scholars Award upon acceptance and graduated with honours, studying

with Erika Raum. Elise is currently pursuing a Masters of Music in Performance at The

Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where she is studying with Jacqueline Ross and is the

recipient of a Guildhall School Award.

In recent years, Elise has performed recitals and chamber music concerts throughout Canada, and

seeks to program concerts that prioritize connection between performer and audience. Starting

her violin studies at age 4 in British Columbia, Elise performed as a soloist with the Okanagan

Symphony Orchestra, Okanagan Symphony Youth Orchestra, and Kelowna Pops Orchestra in

her youth. Elise has received several awards from festivals throughout B.C., and has recently

played in orchestras in B.C., Ontario, Manitoba, and Quebec. Elise is also an avid chamber

musician and has enjoyed performing in summer festivals in Canada and abroad, including
