3 RIVERS FESTIVAL STRINGS
Park Church, Stirling
20 July, 7.00 pm
adults £10 / under 18 free

Schubert's only full-fledged string quintet has been called "sublime"and "extraordinary", and is generally regarded as his finest chamber work as well as one of the greatest compositions in all chamber music. Five young strings players join forces to play this masterpiece, preceded by a specially commissioned work by the young British composer Gregory May, who will attend this world première performance. A reception will follow the concert, celebrating the conclusion of the festival's inaugural year.
